Had an amazing experience at Harpole’s Heritage Lodge. Everything from the people to the food to the accommodations were top notch! Special shout out to Ben Kuhn whom guided our pheasant hunt. One of the most professional/fun guides I’ve ever been with. This lodge is a very special place that should be on your bucket list if not already. Thank you Gary for making us feel like family!

Have hunted upland birds there for two seasons. Can do put and take but have large established populations so can hunt the wild birds. Always good guides and dogs. Tim Neuhauser was great guide for both a teenager and a senior (me) and has super dogs. Both times took novice hunters and perfect place for first bird hunt. Staff friendly and helpful and lodge hostess always brightened up the room

Absolutely amazing get away! We are returning guests and stayed in the new cabins which are extremely comfortable and beautiful, well equipped, quiet location. We highly recommend the breakfast and our service by Janet and Krystal was top notch!! In addition to 4 wheeling, we enjoyed walking the property, playing bags, and relaxing in nature. Highly recommend this slice of heaven!!

Stumbled upon this place and decided last minute to take a day to go horseback and UTV riding. I’m glad we did! This was about 3.5 hours from Chicago. When we arrived it was very beautiful and quiet. We went horseback riding first and Jessie was our guide. He was super informative and very friendly. He taught us all the basics, answered all our questions. We could tell he loved the horses and they actually took very good care of them. We had a great ride! We enjoyed our time with him and the horses. Then we were UTV riding. What an experience, there were so many places to go for both experienced and beginner riders. We had an absolute amazing day overall. Kevin was also great he came to look for us when we got lost. Both Jessie and Kevin were super friendly and helpful and made our experience worth while. It’s definitely a great place to just get away and enjoy the peace!

Just wrapped up a weekend getaway, ATV ride with some neighbors, a group of about 12, mostly blk. The ride in wasn’t bad. Once we got to the cabin grounds we were greeted warmly by staff and had positive interactions with all the guest as well. The food was fresh and delicious. If you wanna get away from the noise, fast pace, the constant need to always pick a side and just wanna enjoy being a human with care and compassion for others, book here!

My wife and I had a amazing time at the lodge last weekend for our 21st anniversary. We stayed in Bobby's cabin and it was perfect. Met some new friends that were staying in one of the other cabins. The family style meals in the main lodge were delicious and we met some great people that might not normally talk to. On Friday we did a 2 hour horseback riding trip. Jesse was a great guide and just all around good guy. I would highly recommend take a ride with him. We took our UTV along and road the trails Friday afternoon and Saturday. The were great with trails that fit everyone's riding ability. We did a little mushroom hunting but didn't have any luck. I feel the ground was too dry. Overall, everything was perfect. We are already trying to make plans to come back with our adult children.

Just completed my Whitetail deer hunt and it was amazing, the lodge, staff and food were all great. The staff was professional and accommodating and the meals exceeded my expectations. The beginning of our hunt was slow due to warm weather and very high winds however our guide Lou worked very hard to ensure we had every opportunity to harvest a deer. Lou is extremely knowledgeable of the property we hunted and helped me experience the hunt of my life placing me where I saw numerous deer which included many bucks and 4 big shooters. I would highly recommend booking a hunt and request Lou as your guide.

I went to the lodge today for some trail riding for my birthday. I go to a different stable every year for trail riding in central Illinois. Today I rode for two hours and this is the only place that has offered more than 1 hour of riding which is wonderful. This place is by far my favorite of all the places I’ve rode. Jesse was my guide and he was so very polite and knowledgeable. The horses are all well kept, very friendly and healthy. The trail riding was relaxing and had some beautiful views. Lots of scenic views, wildlife, creeks, inclines and many other attributes to make it an exciting ride. I will most definitely be back and I hope to have Jesse as my guide again. Thank you very much for an amazing birthday!
